You hand the deck to a spectator and instruct him or her to shuffle the deck and select any card. You instruct them to lose the card into the deck without you touching it in anyway. David Berglas is an English magician and mentalist. His secret technique for locating a particular card in a deck has been described as the holy grail of card magic.
D. Berglas ' version meets 4 criteria that no other variant has ever managed to meet. Here they are :
The cards are in plain sight before the routine begins.
A spectator names any card. No companion! The person can freely cite the first card that comes to mind. No restrictions and no forcing!
Another spectator says any number or number between 1 and 52. There too no friend. The choice is free. No restrictions either.
A third person is invited to count the cards up to the chosen number, and to turn it over: this is the card named by the first spectator! The magician never touches the cards.
This effect was exclusive to David Berglas . Till date it has never been sold by any trick dealer in the world. It was never available on the internet either.
